Hello, ladies and gentlemen who have been following me for the last six-ish years now. While at the moment I am writing this, it'll be Christmas Eve. Nevertheless, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you. Today is something of a miracle of a holiday, one of which has been sadly over-commercialized in the last couple of decades. For some, no doubt it'll be a certain Messiah's birthday. For others, it'll be a jolly old man in red riding a sled pulled by reindeer with elves assisting him. But the most important aspect, something that the former two I've said have in common, I say is that this is a time of giving and effort. And it doesn't need to be something of material value. While having a toy, a comic book or a movie is nice and all, it's most important to give the genuine inner love to others. This is that time of year where we give and don't need to ask in return. Heck, this is a time so powerful that it momentarily stopped a battle during the first World War. No joke. You've probably heard many say this already, but Christmas is among my favorite holidays. Cross the fact that November/December/January are the winter months, Christmas has really given many good memories to many people. But I cannot say that is for all. To those of you who suffer from a sort of trauma on this day, well, I can't pretend I know what you're going through, because I don't know how it is. I would love to be able to comfort you in a time like this, but due to restraints, I cannot. I can only hope that you can find your own inner peace, something which I don't know how to provide.
Speaking of pain and suffering, this year has been somewhat bittersweet. While many good moments have shined through, there have been a plethora of tragedies that have happened, both to me as a person and the fanbases I'm involved with. To those of you who don't know already, I think I posted a Journal of my mom's dad who passed on to the afterlife during our summer trip to New Mexico. He was already dying as we got there and passed away the next day after our arrival, so at least we got the chance to see him alive (though it was still painful). The rest of the week there was pretty much setting up for his funeral and burial. Still, we were able to see the family come together and technically visit all of them in the week, so a blessing in disguise if you ask me. And also offer your prayers and condolences to my friend, <dev>CerberusSEL</dev>, whose mother has passed away due to brain cancer (correct me if I am wrong on this, bro).
In much broader news, I have no doubt in my mind that you guys have heard that comedian and actor Robin Williams died as a result of a drug overdose (again, correct me if I am wrong). If you don't know who he is, good chance you might recognize some of his other works (Aladdin, Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji and more). If you don't recognize any of these, you may be familiar with one or two others that I'm not familiar with.

Or the fact that he was also a fan of the video game series The Legend of Zelda. So much so, that... Well, I'll let this video tell it all.
Not only that, Koichi Kawakita (the special effects director of the Heisei series from Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) to Rebirth of Mothra III (1999)) has recently died December 5th (which is also his birthday) and beloved Anna Nakagawa (the actress for the character Emmy Kano, the woman from the future, from Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991)) has also died earlier in the year. There are a couple of other names, but none of which I'm sadly not familiar with. May all of their respective souls rest in peace.
But like I said, this year hasn't been all bad (okay, so I don't watch the news; so what? Haha). I've been given the many blessings of not only getting new friends, both here on DeviantART and other websites, but getting to know some that have been previously unspoken to. To you all I say, thank you very much. This year has also been a fantastic year for our friend, the Big G. It's his 60th anniversary of stomping around with a faithful American Godzilla production from Legendary Pictures. Not only that, fan-favorite Godzilla comic series Godzilla: Rulers of Earth is going to hit the 25 issue mark, which will be the indicator that it will become the longest Ongoing Godzilla series since the 1970's 24 issue run of Marvel's Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Not only that, several announcements have been made for the future of kaiju. Pacific Rim and Legendary Godzilla will be getting sequels and King Kong will be having what I presume to be a prequel story, Kong: King of Skull Island (the title has been changed). The hit manga/anime series Attack On Titan will also have a two-part film, something which I'm looking forward to (I don't expect it to be exactly faithful to the original series, since everyone is going to be played by Japanese, lol). Not only that, probably the biggest news for us G-Fans, is the revival of the Japanese Godzilla who will be in Japanese theaters by 2016. At that point, it would be about 12 years since the last Godzilla film, Godzilla: Final Wars, has been made and released. What direction they'll go or how they do it is a mystery.
And gifts... Well, I got Watchmen the graphic novel this year and plan on completing last year's gift Virus: The Day of Resurrection. I have no idea what my other gifts are besides that, so I'll need to update that by tomorrow.
With all of that said, you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Okay, a touch early for the latter, but whatever.
Yours Truly,

How the Shin Universe Connects Together (Theory)
Hey! So I'm alive for one. Been super-duper busy on the KWC front (oh shoot, I need to update on banners, don't I...?), hence why I haven't been on here as often as I should. And in general, dA hasn't been as appealing to be on as it used to be. But the existential dread of a dead website aside, I just wanted to throw this out there. To start off, we know that the movies of the Shin Japan Heroes Universe are all disconnected anthology films that are really only connected by being a modernized reinvention of classic properties and being helmed by a generally consistent team of people (most notable in this case is Hideaki Anno, though I feel Shinji Higuchi deserves equal recognition). Maybe super cheeky references here and there, but let's speculate with the what-ifs--what if the SJHU films were a singular continuity? How would they work? What I'm going to present is very much oversimplified--but since it's not going to come down to the details, since that would require a much greater

Yamatai Kingdom - 1st Appearance of Bagan
Well, first update I've made in a while... And one using the new Eclipse format. Happy Every Holiday Ever That I Missed Out On. :P That's the full title. Nevertheless, I *really* wanted to share this article posted on TK about Bagan's 1st appearance--crazy to believe he wasn't even meant to be a Godzilla monster! https://www.tohokingdom.com/cutting_room/yamatai_kingdom.html I'm flabbergasted at the idea, but so much of it makes sense when you think about it. Why would a magical, shapeshifting monster be Godzilla's 1st opponent for a reboot series? He was a carryover from a lost film. Why would Bagan even be considered for the unmade Yamato Takeru sequel? Because Yamatai Kingdom was meant to expand on The Three Treasures, which debuts Toho's Orochi. So much of this adds up and leaves me speechless. It's wonderful when a monster--let alone one that was planned for movies and never saw the light of day--is able to bring new surprises to the table. It's nuts. Nevertheless, y'all have
