Hello, ladies and gentlemen! For it is I, yours truly, who comes before yee with several announcements for the upcoming weeks. It's probably not much, but better to update now rather than last-second (something I should have done before Lent... Oh well. ).
1) Visiting Relatives: On June 6th, my family and I are heading off to the mountains (nowhere near our place, btw) to see some of my mother's family whom we haven't heard from in forever. I think it's only for a week, but I'll be gone for a while nonetheless.
2) Life: With my second semester of college out of the way, I still haven't heard any word if I am going to be having a job soon or not... Even then, I don't want to risk doing any appointments until we get back from the visit. So things have been calm and slow, getting a bit of construction and chores done around the house. While I'd love to attend Fall Semester of college, I know that I can't afford it at the moment. Man, I need to learn how to drive.
3) Pet Projects: Woe to thee with the Writer's Block... More like Writer's Clog. I was hoping that upon getting through the second semester, I could hop aboard the Imagination Train and let my mind go loose with my original ideas. Sadly, not so. Out of the ideas of having a time-travel related story (with an unexpected twist, hopefully!) to a dark mystery thriller set in the Great Depression about various detectives with different ethnicities trying to take down a cannibalist *"strange killer", I can't seem to find the fiery urge to write an original project. One day I will, no denying it. But I think I know the source of this clog... And it relates to my fourth announcement.
*The term Strange Killer was used for a long time until (if I recall correctly) the 1970's where the strange killers were finally labeled as Serial Killer. The more you know.
4) Godzilla!: Can't go without proclaiming the name of Big G now, can I? Well, for one, saw the new film and really enjoyed myself (IT IS AWESOME!). First legit Godzilla film I've seen, and the first theatrical release since Godzilla 2000. With the spontaneous reboots/continuations of the comic-book superhero films and with Pacific Rim as a warm-up, it is really refreshing to see the King of the Monsters back in action.
Now this is relevant (as I mentioned, my source of the clog, lol), because there has always been one big project I've wanted to do: a Godzilla Neo-like fan series that goes on a personal reinvention of the Godzilla franchise. It's been a dream project I've had in mind since forever, but I haven't been too successful in setting it up (if anyone recalls Great Daikaiju Gojira or Legendary Godzilla, you've been around for a long while, lol) or how to approach it. It wasn't until recently, upon seeing the film, reading its prequel graphic novel (which was... Errr... Okay, without being too harsh) and thinking how to work with the material at hand that I found a way to make a unique fan series with its own identity. Ladies and gents, I give you the "pre-production" phase of the G-Fan Project:
Godzilla's Legacy.
“Years ago, the world collapsed. Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms were born as a result of man’s scientific arrogance and great monsters resurrected because of the disruption in nature. Bloody wars and the conquest of greed spread panic, bringing humanity to its knees. With burning retribution, a guardian will rise to restore balance to the world as we merely stand and watch.
Godzilla’s Legacy is a fan-based tribute and personal reinvention of the Godzilla (and Toho) film franchise. Inspired from Matt Frank’s Godzilla Neo, these are stories of a world afflicted by colossal titanic forces who destroy the modern world. Following no set timeline, though using some key moments as reference, this is an original universe where the existence of kaiju remain an absolute mystery; a world where the fate of reality and fantasy slip from the grasp of humanity. Conceived and written by KaijuX with main art duties by arkan54. Special shoutouts to Gun345, HayesAJones, godzillajtn, mexicankaiju and Mr-X-The-Kaiju-Freak for the support of this massive scaled project!”
What will be significant details of how this series works? What will I do? Just wait and find out soon.
I do, however, need ya'lls help with something big; concept art. Godzilla is a gigantic franchise, and I'm going to give my all. But in order to do that, I need help in the art department. It's not the humans and aliens that I'm concerned about, but rather most of the kaiju. I will need 3 volunteers (of any art skill) to make bizarre conceptualizations of these majestic creatures (and I do mean bizarre! ). Unfortunately, I cannot pay any of you, for I do not have the money to commission these pieces (believe me, I'd love to commish ya'll! Especially for this undertaking, because it is not going to be easy).

My ideal plan is to have the first entry uploaded by November 3rd, 2014, marking the 60th Birthday of Godzilla. From now until then, it should give me time to set up and write a ton of statistics and biographies. If anyone is interested in taking a concept artist position, shoot me a note!
With all that said, everyone take care and God bless!

How the Shin Universe Connects Together (Theory)
Hey! So I'm alive for one. Been super-duper busy on the KWC front (oh shoot, I need to update on banners, don't I...?), hence why I haven't been on here as often as I should. And in general, dA hasn't been as appealing to be on as it used to be. But the existential dread of a dead website aside, I just wanted to throw this out there. To start off, we know that the movies of the Shin Japan Heroes Universe are all disconnected anthology films that are really only connected by being a modernized reinvention of classic properties and being helmed by a generally consistent team of people (most notable in this case is Hideaki Anno, though I feel Shinji Higuchi deserves equal recognition). Maybe super cheeky references here and there, but let's speculate with the what-ifs--what if the SJHU films were a singular continuity? How would they work? What I'm going to present is very much oversimplified--but since it's not going to come down to the details, since that would require a much greater

KWC Awards/Survey and Happy Holidays!
Wow, so it's been a hot minute! First off, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Here's hoping 2021 will be a far better year than 2020 was. Secondly, the KWC Awards/Survey is here for those that read the KWC! So by all accounts, pitch your vote! https://www.tohokingdom.com/blog/2020-kwc-awards-and-feedback-surveys/ 'Till then, everyone! Probably won't be back until next year, lmao. I kid, I kid. XD -KaijuX
Yamatai Kingdom - 1st Appearance of Bagan
Well, first update I've made in a while... And one using the new Eclipse format. Happy Every Holiday Ever That I Missed Out On. :P That's the full title. Nevertheless, I *really* wanted to share this article posted on TK about Bagan's 1st appearance--crazy to believe he wasn't even meant to be a Godzilla monster! https://www.tohokingdom.com/cutting_room/yamatai_kingdom.html I'm flabbergasted at the idea, but so much of it makes sense when you think about it. Why would a magical, shapeshifting monster be Godzilla's 1st opponent for a reboot series? He was a carryover from a lost film. Why would Bagan even be considered for the unmade Yamato Takeru sequel? Because Yamatai Kingdom was meant to expand on The Three Treasures, which debuts Toho's Orochi. So much of this adds up and leaves me speechless. It's wonderful when a monster--let alone one that was planned for movies and never saw the light of day--is able to bring new surprises to the table. It's nuts. Nevertheless, y'all have

That story idea sound interesting, with the "strange killers." Plus the time travel thing makes me think about Doctor Who, which is never a bad thing. XD Any idea for a title?
Now that sounds like an absolutely EPIC Godzilla series. If there's any way I can contribute, let me know!
